The beautiful Southern region of Puglia is famous for its sandy beaches, clear sea water and fascinating Baroque cities like Lecce, known as the Florence of the South. 

Villa Safira is located in Carpignano Salentino, in the province of Lecce in the south of Apulia. This small community has around 4,000 inhabitants. The Adriatic coast is only 13 km away. You will find the lovely baroque city of Lecce at a distance of only just over 30 km. Slightly closer, within 15 kilometres, is the charming little town of Otranto. The nearest bus stop, where you will also find a few shops, can be reached on foot as it is only 1.5 km away. The nearest seaside resort is Torre Sant’Andrea, part of the small town of Melendugno, where you will find crystal-clear waters overlooked by beautiful arches carved out by the sea. The nearest sandy beaches are around 15 km away.
